As announced\u00a0by David Myles last Friday, we have booked a very special band: the Tannahill Weavers!<\/p>\n

This band is one of Scotland’s most famous bands and their traditionals and original songs are a constant inspiration for many bands around the world, including Rapalje. All are amazing musicians and over the years the ‘Tannies<\/a>‘ have been trailblazers for Scottish music, and their tight harmonies and powerful, inventive arrangements have won them fans from the folk and Celtic music scenes and beyond.Their bagpipe player even arranged and played the bagpipe music for the Disney Pixar movie “Brave” and “How To Train A Dragon 2”!<\/p>\n

Zoals velen van jullie in het\u00a0radio-interview met David Myles afgelopen vrijdag hebben gehoord, hebben we een heel bijzondere band geboekt voor Zomerfolk 2017: de Tannahill Weavers!<\/p>\n

Deze band is een van de bekendste bands van Schotland en hun traditionals en originele songs zijn een constante inspiratiebron voor veel bands over de hele wereld, waaronder\u00a0Rapalje. Alle zijn geweldige muzikanten en door de jaren heen zijn de ‘Tannies<\/a>‘ wegbereiders voor de Schotse muziek geworden en hebben ze met hun strakke harmonie\u00ebn en krachtige, inventieve arrangementen veel fans gekregen uit de folk en Keltische muziek scenes en daarbuiten. Hun\u00a0doedelzakspeler arrangeerde en speelde\u00a0zelfs de doedelzak muziek in\u00a0de Disney Pixar film “Brave” en “How To Train A Dragon 2”.<\/p>\n

So wie es vielleicht einige von euch schon im Radio Interview mit David Myles am letzten Freitag geh\u00f6rt haben, ist es uns gelungen, eine ganz besondere Band f\u00fcr das Zomerfolk 2017 zu buchen: Die Tannahill Weavers!<\/p>\n

Diese Band ist eine der bekanntesten Schottischen Bands und ihre Traditionals und originellen Songs sind ein konstanter Inspirations-Brunnen f\u00fcr viele Bands auf der ganzen Welt, darunter auch Rapalje. Alle Bandmitglieder sind fantastische Musikanten und durch all die Jahre sind die ‘Tannies<\/a>‘ Webbereiter f\u00fcr die Schottische Musik geworden. Sie haben mit ihren straffen Harmonien, und ausdrucksstarken Arrangements viele Fans aus der Folk Szene und auch au\u00dferhalb des Genres gewonnen. Ihr Dudelsackspieler arrangierte und spielte selbst die Dudelsack Musik im Disney Pixar Film “Brave” und “How To Train A Dragon 2”.<\/p>\n
