No Rapalje Summer Folk Festival without Rapalje! Rapalje are an award-winning band from the Scottish and Irish folk music scene. After almost 3 decades, they still laugh and have enchanted their audiences with passionate and lively performances on hundreds of stages around the world. The group combines traditional instruments such as the bagpipes, violin, flutes and bodhráns with singing from the heart and a good dose of humor, making them loved wherever they play. Rapalje, which means “scoundrel” or “flag”, has given numerous concerts and released more than 10 albums. The band has won several awards and accolades, including the Best Live Act Award at the fantasy awards in 2015 and 2018. Over the years, Rapalje has gained a reputation as one of the most entertaining and dynamic folk bands around. Their trademark chaos and the way they always make time for their huge fan following is what makes the musicians so popular.
