Troubadour Moti Rymarczuk is a well-known musician as a street singer in Groningen.
Since 1981 he has been playing his pop songs at various locations, but especially in recent years in the Paddepoel shopping center near the Hema and on the Vismarkt.
Moti was born in Russia and raised in Israel.
Initially, the singer plays acoustically, with guitar, drums and harmonica, but since the late 1990s the singer has had to strengthen his voice with electrical equipment, because his voice has become bad through years of misuse. This causes problems for small businesses in Groningen and municipal ordinances also provide too little room for Moti to continue playing. A solution is found: he has permission to play in certain places in the city. For the second time we can now welcome this musician in heart and soul to Zomerfolk.
