Twenty-year-old Merel Bakker from Uithuizen is an acoustic singer-songwriter in the easy-listing/folk music genre. With her unique songs, she knows how to touch the audience in a special way under the stage name Merulsa. With her lyrics she tells stories about her own experiences and shows how she views life and the world around it. In 2017, at the age of fourteen, she won third place in the national final of Kunstbende, and in the same year she released her first EP “We're Heading”. We are very happy about that Merulsa wants to share her beautiful music with us during Zomerfolk 2023!
