Paul Watchorn, the lead singer of one of the world's most famous folk bands, The Dublin Legends (formerly known as The Dubliners), returns with his one-man show at Zomerfolk! With songs and stories about Ireland, he's capturing the hearts of music lovers worldwide, keeping Irish traditions alive.

Paul is a real 'Dub'. He is considered one of the best 5-string banjo players in Ireland and as such has played all over the world. He is also an accomplished guitarist and singer. Music runs in Paul's family; his brother Patsy spent many years with The Dublin City Ramblers, The Dubliners and until recently The Dublin Legends.

Over the years, Paul has performed with many different artists, including his brother Patsy. He was one of the lead singers with Derek Warfield of The Wolfetones and toured with him for over four years as Derek Warfield and The Sons of Erin Band. During that time, he played throughout the US, England, Scotland, Spain, France, and Germany, and toured extensively in Ireland. Since then, Paul has continued to tour Ireland and the UK as Paul Watchorn and The Sons of Erin Band.

Paul began his career as a professional snooker player and played in many ranking tournaments during those years, but the pull and love for music and singing were too strong to ignore, so he dedicated his full time to it. Paul is never happier than when he's on stage, and it shows. Get your Irish song wishlist ready, because he loves taking requests!
