Dear Summer Folkers,
Sometimes life throws unexpected twists – and this time, that means a last-minute change of location for our festival. The Zonneweide has had a makeover and unfortunately, last week it turned out that the reseeded grass field has not recovered as quickly as the gardeners had expected. In order to protect this beautiful part of the Stadspark and not to turn our festival into a mud run when it rains, we have therefore come to the conclusion, in consultation with the municipality and all other parties involved, that Zomerfolk cannot take place on this field this year.
But don't worry: Zomerfolk 2025 will take place at a different location in the City Park, just tens of meters away from the Zonneweide: the Drafbaan.
This great location offers plenty of space and opportunities to make the festival as good as ever. Plenty of room for music, workshops, entertainment, market stalls and of course: you! We are currently working around the clock to convert everything and we will certainly succeed with the help we receive from all sides.
We understand that a change can raise questions at short notice and we will do everything we can to inform you well. If you have any questions, ask them in the comments or email franca@rapalje.com, and we will answer them as soon as possible. All program components, performances and activities will continue as planned - just in a different part of the park.
We look forward to working with you to make our festival an unforgettable 11th edition – in a different location, with the same love, music and unique Zomerfolk atmosphere that you are used to.
