Old Man Fergus

Old Man Fergus plays Irish, Scottish, English, and Dutch folk songs. He plays beautiful ballads interspersed with some faster pieces. The repertoire is best described as convivial and informal. Old Man Fergus accompanies himself on guitar. Usually alone, but often when he plays in front of his tent, everyone is welcome to join in, and dancing is, of course, allowed too. He plays with full dedication and, above all, straight from the heart.

DansKnusjes

Come dance at Zomerfolk! Balfolk is a collection of folk dances originating from all over Europe, from Poland to Hungary, and from Portugal to Sweden. These are simple dances that are more about having fun than strictly following the steps. They include circle dances, partner dances, mixers, and solo dances.

DansKnusjes is a passionate duo consisting of Berit and Jan. Together, they have over 22 years of balfolk experience and would love to introduce you to the wonderful world of Balfolk with the help of their lovely dance assistants! No dance experience is necessary.

The Traveling Northerners

The Traveling Northerners is a group of travelers on their way from Denmark to the west. Along the way, groups travel along with them, while others stay behind to settle elsewhere. Trade is conducted and handicrafts are performed along the route to maintain their stock. This includes working with leather and wood, making and repairing clothing, and fighting by our warriors. The fire is the central and essential point of the camp. It is there that stories are told and the inner man is nourished. Take a look and get a taste of the atmosphere of their encampment.
