For over 15 years, Mànran has been central to the Scottish traditional music scene, and the band has built a reputation as one of the most enthusiastic and influential bands in the genre. The seven-piece band is known for their bold fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds, effortlessly combining English and Gaelic songs with compelling, complex instrumental arrangements.

Their distinctive mix of bagpipes, violin, accordion, flute, and transverse flute, complemented by guitars, drums, and bass, creates a dynamic, uplifting sound that is both deeply rooted in tradition and refreshingly modern. Their music has taken them to stages in over 30 countries, where they have built a loyal international fanbase and are known for their energetic live performances.

Their most recent album 'To the Wind' was released in August 2025, was played on BBC Radio 2, and is nominated for Album of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.
