Lotte Walda is a singer-songwriter from Limburg (Heerlen). Her music is pure and honest and written from the heart. The texts she writes are about topics that she tries to inspire people with. She finds that inspiration in the world around her. In addition to her own music, she regularly plays covers from the 60s and 70s. Her main sources of inspiration are: Janis Joplin, Nina Simone, Melanie and Joni Mitchell. Since 2015 she also plays her own songs with a band.
Lotte Walda has been taking singing lessons since she was eleven and she has already participated in a number of talent shows / open stages. When she was fifteen she enrolled in the KTM Pop Music program at the Arcus college. That year she also started playing the guitar and writing songs. In the year 2014 she participated for the first time in Kunstbende and won the Pinkpop Cover Contest through Kunstbende. That meant she could go to Pinkpop for 3 days. She was also allowed to play her cover ” In your arms ” of Chef’Special backstage at Pinkpop.
In 2015 Lotte took part in Kunstbende again with Kenny d’Aubreu de Paulo (pianist). They finished first in the regional final and third in the national final. That year a lot happened . She performed more and more and met new people. Suddenly she was asked if she wanted to do the opening act for Will And The People, a band that she is a big fan of. For that performance she gathered her own band, which still exists. Lotte also participated in Giel’s talent show …. And of the 1200 entries she ended up in THE team of Giel and was allowed to perform in Paradiso. In addition, she has written and sang a duet with Douwe Bob and is working on her own album.
